How to Use Arctic Wolf’s Manager-Level Reporting to Strengthen Security Awareness

Security awareness training is one of the most effective ways to reduce risk and prevent successful phishing attempts. But knowing who is completing the training and who is not has traditionally fallen on IT or HR. That is starting to change.

Arctic Wolf recently announced a powerful update to their Managed Security Awareness platform. Now, managers can directly access user-level data and receive monthly progress summaries for their teams. This update gives leaders visibility into training engagement, helping drive accountability across the organization.

At Louisville Geek, we view this as a big step toward closing the gap between training and true behavior change.

What’s New in Arctic Wolf’s Reporting Capabilities

As of July 10, 2025, Arctic Wolf customers can download manager and user-level CSV files showing incomplete training sessions by team and by individual. Additionally, managers will begin receiving a monthly status email that highlights which team members still have training to complete.

Managers will now be able to:

  • Download a CSV report showing the incomplete training percentage for their team
  • Access user-level reports showing the number of incomplete sessions and the manager assigned to each employee
  • Receive a monthly email summarizing each direct report’s incomplete sessions and identifying the five oldest assignments

Why Manager Visibility Matters

Training only works when employees engage with it. Giving managers the tools to follow up directly ensures fewer sessions fall through the cracks. Plus, the monthly cadence means security awareness remains a consistent conversation, not a one-time initiative.

The benefits are significant:

  • Managers can drive accountability and ensure teams are aligned on cybersecurity best practices
  • Admins can more easily share and communicate progress with leadership
  • The entire organization benefits from reduced human risk and stronger frontline defenses
